Located in Galena, Illinois, Chestnut Mountain Resort has become well known for its 220 acres of great winter sports excitement encompassing 19 trails. Chestnut is proud to offer the Midwest's largest terrain park while offering a range of trails that suit both the beginners and experts among us, ranging from novice to black diamond. To get you to the top of its 3,500 feet of trails, Chestnut is home to two quad chairs, four triples and three surface lifts.
Chestnut Mountain Resort offers 19 trails with something for every level and interest. The terrain park includes a fantastic half-pipe, while those interested in cross-country have options, as well. In addition, ski schools are offered for the beginners and night skiing for those who wish to take to the slopes later.
