Timber Ridge Ski, Snowboard and Snow Tubing Area is located in S.W. Michigan close to Kalamazoo. Timber Ridge offers 60 skiable acres of natural terrain in the lake-effect snow belt of Michigan. A variety of slopes offer exciting adventure for the beginner and challenges even the advanced snow enthusiast. Timber Ridge has 4 chairlifts and 6 surface tows to move skiers, riders and snow tuber to the slope-top with ease. The slopes at Timber Ridge range from very gentle to most difficult with two terrain parks. The Pumpkin Park for beginners and the Timber Terrain for the more advanced. Our Snow Sports Center offers instruction at all levels for individual coaching to group sessions. Special Events mark the weekends of winter. Included in these are: Kids Rule the Ridge, airZ "n"railZ, Winterfest and more. Our slopes are lighted for night skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing. Check the website for daily specials. There is racing for all ages and Masters Training for the most advanced NASTAR racers. Our cozy lodge features two fireplaces. A cafeteria and deli for quick snacks or a complete lunch. Relax in the Snowshoe Bar and upper lodge with a view of the slopes through huge windows, while you enjoy a variety of lunch selections and your favorite beverage. About
Opened in 1961, Timber Ridge Ski Area originally had 1 rope tow lift. Today, that number has grown to 8, including a quad and triple. This ski area has a 240 ft. vertical and 850 ft. of elevation, which you can explore over 15 trails. In addition to those trails to navigate, you can take a trip into the terrain park and take advantage of the half pipe. There are plenty of beginner trails, but many more trails that will give you the challenge and excitement needed to improve your skills. If you do not wish to ski or snowboard, head over to the tubing area for family fun.
