Becoming A Supplier Member of MSAA - You will be glad you did!
Suppliers to Midwest ski areas are encouraged to become supplier members of MSAA.
The membership year runs May 1st to April 30th of each year. Dues are $200 per year if sales to Midwest ski areas are under $75,000. If over that amount, dues are $300 per year.

Suppliers receive the following membership benefits:
- Advertise In MSAA News - the first ad each year (up to one-half page) is free, additional ads are nominal amounts. A free subscription to MSAA News is included.
- Use Our Mailing List - we'll supply labels or e-mail them to you as a Word document.
- Get Listed In Our Online Directory
- Participate In Our Summer Meetings & Trade Show and be listed in the conference materials and directory. We will be sending out the preliminary agenda and exhibitors' directory before the show. It will offer you a chance to describe what's new and why ski area people should visit you at the Trade Show and during the whole Summer Meetings event. Register by the end of May to be included. MSAA Summer Meeting and Trade Show Information:
During the last 8 years we have averaged about 250 ski area people from more than 60 Midwest areas. Last year we had over 300 ski area people, and suppliers from 65 companies.
Suppliers are welcome at MSAA activities and programs. We welcome you as speakers and as participants - please offer suggestions for topics.

Who attends the Show:
Registered attendees and guests from the ski area industry. Last year more than 50 ski areas sent nearly three hundred ski area attendees and guests.
Reasons for participating this year:
It is the only time to reach Midwest ski area managers and key staff. A large attendance is anticipated. No conflicting programs are scheduled during our expanded Trade Show hours.
What about displays:
Only 60 or so 6' tabletop displays will be offered since space is limited. Power is available, on a limited basis. When all spaces are committed only briefcase exhibitor registrations will be accepted. Outdoor and large equipment displays should be arranged with the show manager, but are welcome. The trade show hall is limited to tabletop displays, except by express arrangement. All exhibitors and briefcase supplies firms must be members of MSAA.
Cost to Attend and to Display:
A booth space in the trade show is expected to cost $500, or with power is $525. To attend without a booth, the "briefcase" supplier member company registration fee is $375. These fees cover the first two representatives from a supplier member company. Additional representatives are $80 each. Only member companies may attend and/or display at the Trade Show.
Hotel rooms and meals are excellent and inexpensive, Boyne Mountainhas reserved a block of rooms for us at their great condos and hotel rooms -- at great rates. Lodging at these hotels includes a conference meals package and is quite reasonable. Those staying elsewhere may purchase individual meals.

Your ad reaches hundreds of Midwest ski area key personnel in their association's own newsletter. It can be extraordinarily effective!
MSAA News Advertising Rate Sheet
Description: MSAA News is published about four times per year for the ski area and supplier members of MSAA. Additional copies are distributed to non-member ski areas and to industry leaders and media. Five hundred copies are printed. Samples available upon request.
Advertisements: Black and white advertisements up to 8 by 10.5 inches are accepted from supplier members of MSAA. The first advertisement (up to one-half page) is free to supplier members.
Additional advertisement costs, per insertion, are as follows:
Payment is required when the order is placed and the copy is received. Space cannot be confirmed until copy and payment are received. Deadline for receipt of copy is the 25th of the month prior to publication. Published in December, March, June, and September. (Example: for the June issue, ad must be received by May 25).
